On the afternoon of June 5, 2025, the China-CEEC Innovation Cooperation Research Center (hereinafter referred to as the “Research Center”) successfully hosted the “Overseas Investment Seminar-Investing in Serbia”. The seminar aimed to equip Chinese enterprises with comprehensive insights into the market dynamics, regulatory frameworks, and cultural nuances of Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries to facilitate their regional expansion.

Ms. Jelena Grubor Stefanović, Chief Representative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (CCIS) in China, delivered a keynote speech. She elaborated on Serbia’s business climate, investment opportunities, and government incentives, emphasizing its strategic advantages as a gateway to Europe - including prime geographical positioning, abundant resources, and its growing prominence as a key CEE economy. Ms. Stefanović extended an open invitation to Chinese investors while reaffirming CCIS’s full commitment to supporting their localization efforts.

The event drew enthusiastic participation from over 30 enterprises, fostering dynamic exchanges. Attendees praised the seminar’s practical value, with one representative noting “The workshop provided actionable market intelligence that not only enhanced our understanding of Serbia but also solidified our confidence in global expansion.”

The Research Center will continue serving as a strategic bridge, providing enterprises with enhanced support and services to deepen China-Europe economic and trade collaboration. We look forward to more Chinese enterprises leveraging this platform to achieve remarkable success in the CEE market!
